QR Frame Templates
Coming soon β available on all plans.
QR frame templates let you add a professionally designed border, label, or call-to-action around your QR code β in one click from the Design Studio.
What frames are
A frame is a decorative and functional border applied around the outside of your QR code. Common examples include: a 'Scan Me' label below the code, a branded border matching your colours, a rounded-corner frame with a call-to-action text (e.g. 'Scan for menu' or 'Follow us'), and a shadow or outlined frame for print clarity.
Selecting a frame
In the Design Studio, the 'Frames' section shows a grid of available templates. Click a thumbnail to apply it with a live preview. You can customise the frame colour to match your brand and optionally edit the label text.
Frames and export
Frames are included in PNG, SVG, and PDF exports. SVG export preserves the frame as a vector object for highest-quality large-format printing. The frame is rendered around the QR code with the correct quiet zone maintained β the white margin required for reliable scanning is never compromised.
Creating custom frames
Enterprise customers can upload custom SVG frame templates. Contact support to request this feature if you need frames matching a specific brand style guide.
π‘ Pro Tips
- A simple 'Scan Me β' text label below the QR code can increase scan rates by up to 30% β users are more likely to scan when prompted.
- For outdoor signage, choose a high-contrast frame (dark border on white background) to maximise scannability in bright sunlight.
